This summer my Irish bride and I spent a week at a lake in northern Minnesota with Leanne & Curt, grandkids, Melanie, Jake, and John and Mel's friend Kaylee.  The cabin belongs to Curt's brother so the price was right.
   

It's a small lake and very clear, and as the pictures show, everyone enjoyed it.

We shared our retreat with a family of woodpeckers (click on the picture for a better look)
    

There was biking in the woods (that's Jake getting some air on a jump) and Curt and his brother trying to establish sibling superiority at tetherball.
