DUETS
I watched Duets again recently for the umpty umpth time. It’s hard to find a movie that provides music interwoven into the story. It’s the story of people going around the country singing karaoke for prize money.
Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow play father and daughter and sing Cruisin’ by Smokey Robinson.
There is also a terrific a capella version of Free Bird and a cameo by Michael Buble.GO AHEAD …. SING ALONG! You know you want to. (and no ones listening, so do it, turn up the volume and click on the little arrow!)
And if you want it you got it forever
This is not a one-night stand, baby, so…Let the music take your mind
Just release and you will findYou’re gonna fly away
Glad you’re going my way
I love it when we’re cruisin’ together
Music is played for love
Cruisin’ is made for love
I love it when we’re cruisin’ togetherBaby tonight
Belongs to us
Everything’s right
Do what you mustAnd inch by inch we get closer and closer
To every little part of each other, ooh baby, yeah, so…Let the music take your mind
Just release and you will findYou’re gonna fly away
Glad you’re going my way
I love it when we’re cruisin’ together
The music is played for loveCruisin’ is made for love
I love it when we’re cruisin’ together
Cruise with me baby
Ooo, ooo
Yeah …
Ooo, ooo
Oh baby let’s cruise
Let’s float, let’s glide
Ooo let’s open up and go insideAnd if you want it you got it forever
I could just stay here beside you and love you babyLet the music take your mind
Just release and you will findYou’re gonna fly away
Glad you’re going my way
I love it when we’re cruisin’ together
The music is played for loveCruisin’ is made for love
I love it when we’re cruisin’ together
You’re gonna fly away
Glad you’re going my way
I love it when we’re cruisin’ together
The music is played for loveCruisin’ is made for love
I love it when we’re cruisin’ together
(…now didn’t that feel good?)
