CRASH
We were in our back yard gathering leaves. Our peaceful afternoon was disturbed by the sounds of an accident and the view of a car sliding sideways down the road in front of our house.
An elderly woman driving north had hit the curb and lost control. She careened across two lanes and smashed into a car driving south.
The driver of the northbound car turned out to be a recently widowed member of our church. Luckily nobody was injured.
The northbound car ended up in the neighbors yard.
The southbound car came to rest in our driveway.
Our dog Josie likes to lay out near the street next to the driveway and keep watch when I’m working in the front yard. The car that ended up in our driveway was driven across the spot where she usually lies. If we had been raking leaves in the front yard, Josie might have been crushed.

oh my goodness! sooo glad that josie was in the backyard with you!
Glad that nobody was injured in the crash and certainly glad that Josie wasn’t out in the front yard!
Lucky Josie ! However, being a bit of a fatalist, I reckon if your name’s on the ticket, your name’s on the ticket, whether it be man or his dog. Josie’s name simply was not on the ticket, Paul.
Awe poor woman. I bet she was so upset. Yep good thing you were not in the front yard but I bet with all the goings on Josie would have moved long before that car landed where it did.
Huggies.
