Well, it’s obvious – GW was a humble man recognizing he was in the presence of greatness (and accepted accordingly) whereas BO is the pompous ass that expects them to lick his shoes just for showing up
And one speaker was speaking in an informal situation (dressed informally & without a bunch of military brass standing about) and the other was speaking in a formal situation. That’s not to say that the Marines don’t dislike Obama, they may very well… just making an observation.
