I’m one of those 2 million however many governmnet employees… and I’m only making $40K a year. (and I’m topped out) So, while those agencies are rolling in more cash, it still ain’t the little guy getting any of it. Though, if there are huge cuts, us little guys in government are going to be the first to take a hit. That hardly seems fair.
In my agency (which is a small one), it’s the administration where the problem lies. Creating high paying, unnecessary administrative positions while cutting low paying line staff positions. (And getting rewarded for it, by the way.) Think things are a wee bit backward. (And people blame the unions! Ha. Right. It’s the exempt employees that are sucking up all the funds, not the union employees.)
