lol… silly gibbon!

Funniest thing I have ever seen at the zoo involved a young gibbon and a young gorilla.  The gorilla was about the size of a human toddler the gibbon was waaay smaller of course.  They were in the “nursery” and being held by two ladies.  The gibbon was terrified of the gorilla and was clinging to the lady’s head.  The gorilla was touchy-feely with the gibbon, like a human infant would be… it was very cute.  Felt sorry for the gibbon a bit, though.  Then, somehow, both of the animals ended up not being held at the same time (can’t remember how that happened, actually) and the gorilla started to chase the gibbon around the enclosure!  There was a cage in the center of the enclosure, leaving about a 3 ft space around the perimeter between the cage & the walls… the gibbon was running like gibbons do, arms flailing wildly above it’s head and when it’d come to a corner, it’d grab the cage and fling itself around the corner.  The gorilla was slow but chasing for all he was worth… oh… the the two ladies were chasing behind them both.  The poor gibbon was scared to death, of course, but the way it was running with it’s arms stretched above it’s head it looked like it was running and saying “oh my God, oh my God, oh my God…”  Wish I would’ve had my vid camera for that.
