  • BARBERSHOP AT IT'S BEST

The Ambassadors of Harmony give a great performance.
You probably have never seen or heard 76 trombones performed like this before.
I almost gave a standing ovation to my computer screen!

  • THE DEAD HORSE THEORY

The tribal wisdom of the Dakota Indians, passed on from generation to generation, holds that, "When you discover that you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount."

However, in government, more advanced strategies are often employed, such as:

    • Using a bigger whip.

    • Changing riders.

    • Appointing a committee to study the horse.

    • Arranging to visit other countries to see how other cultures ride dead horses.

    • Lowering standards so that dead horses can be included.

    • Reclassifying the dead horse as living-impaired.

    • Hiring outside contractors to ride the dead horse.

    • Harnessing several dead horses together to increase speed.

    • Providing additional funding and/or training to increase dead horse's performance.

    • Doing a productivity study to see if lighter riders would improve the dead horse's performance.

    • Declaring that as the dead horse does not have to be fed, it is less costly, carries lower overhead and it therefore contributes substantially more to the bottom line of the economy than do some other horses.

    • Redefining the expected performance requirements for all horses.

And of course, last but certainly not least:
    • Promoting the dead horse to a supervisory position.

  • ONE...

.... SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM! (Music from 'Chorus Line')

  • BAT TRICK!

This is unique! I've never seen a baseball player swing a bat like this!

  • A TWELVE YEAR OLD MUSICAL ARTIST

This is an amazing song, 'Tell Me Why', was written and sung by 12 year old Declan Galbraith

Declan and his family live in England, in the small town of Hoo, near Rochester, Kent.  His father, Alec, is of Scottish descent, while his mother Siobhan comes from a large Irish family. The explosive mix of Scottish and Irish musical traditions inspired Declan and became his early musical influence.

He remembers himself already singing at the age of two.  His talent was publicly acknowledged for the first time when, at just 7 years old, he insisted on performing spontaneously at the annual Rochester Dickens Festival.  Little Declan started singing and the crowd went wild.

Now, some five years later, Declan has made music and singing his career.

Thanks to John Ramsden for sending me the video.

  • THE TOBACCO SMOKE ENEMA

This old tool has been re-introduced in
Washington D.C. by the new administration.

Are you starting to feel it yet?

  • NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED ...

They walk among us and vote!

No animals were harmed in the creation of this blog.

  • ROBOT CHEFS

Are you ready to eat food that's prepared by a machine.  This is probably the restaurant of the future.  My question is, do you say 'My complements to the chef' or 'My complements to the programmer?'

I enjoyed the knife fighting show at the end!

  • BIRD DANCE-OFF

This is way better than "So You Think You Can Dance".  This is the battle of the cockatoos with two different styles - Frostie versus Snowball, and you can be the judge.  In your opinion, which bird is the better dancer?

  • BEATING THE RED LIGHT CAMERA

It sounds great, but does it work?

... Evidently, not all the time!
