  • For quite some time, I’ve been having problems with my right leg. Every once in awhile my upper leg experienced numbness.  There are other symptoms, but I thought it was due to a sciatic nerve problem.

Last week I had an ultrasound on my leg and they found a blood clot halfway up the thigh.

I had never heard of vitamin “K” before, but it contains a clotting element and it has to be reduced from my diet.  Vitamin “K” is found primarily in leafy vegetables like spinach and broccoli, but is also found in other foods in smaller quantities.

Now I’m giving myself Lovenox injections in my stomach twice a day and taking Coumadin to dissolve the clot.

  • I’ve never heard of vitamin k either.  I wonder how Popeye would fare?  Hope the meds help.

  • Uhm… ooowww.  Poking yourself in the gut?  Yikes.

Sorry about the clot, but glad you found it before it broke loose and did something bad somewhere else.
